Department of Social Studies Education History

With the decision of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 04.11.1997 and numbered 97.39.2761, the restructuring process in the Faculties of Education was initiated and within this framework, the Department of Social Studies Education was affiliated with Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Education, Department of Primary Education.
The Department of Science was opened and started to accept students since the 2001-2002 academic year. Finally, with the change made in August 2016, the Department of Social Studies Education continues its educational activities within the Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education. In our Department, “master’s” and “doctoral” programs are carried out in cooperation with Afyon Kocatepe University Social Sciences Institute.
