History of the Turkish Education Department

Department of Turkish Teaching/Turkish Education, Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Education’s Dean’s Office dated 15.06.2001/32 with the proposal dated 15.06.2001/32 and submitted to the Higher Education Board of Afyon Kocatepe University on 02.07.2001/ B.30.2.AKÜ.0.7.71.02.240- It was opened with the decision of the Council of Higher Education, numbered 05.10.2001 – 22480 / 2014, upon the proposal numbered 1945-2820.

In our department, education started with 40 (forty) students in the first semester of the 2006-2007 academic year, with the decision of the Council of Higher Education dated 24.04.06 – 008775 / 1153.

Our department had its first graduates in the 2009-2010 academic year.

With the last change made in August 2016, the Department of Turkish Education continues its education activities within the Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education.
